As part of a kick off an ambitious $200 M+ Master Plan, Memorial Park Conservancy held their first annual State of the Park, informing patrons, supporters, and visitors of Houston’s Memorial Park of the upgrades they will be seeing to their beloved urban green space. This initiative includes the Kinder Land Bridge, Eastern Glades, and new trails, focusing on ecological restoration, connectivity, and infrastructure, with ongoing projects such as the soon-to-come Memorial Groves, improvement to running trails, and upgraded sports facilities.
To reflect the dawning of these park improvements for the State of the Park event, the graphics draw on blossoming blooms intertwined with photography of the beloved park in use, along with line-work to suggest the connectivity these improvements bring with infrastructure and a nod to the park’s history. The event also introduces new branding to the Conservancy developed by Minor Design to the public, elements of which are threaded throughout the visuals used for this event.
